TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WCTV) – A motorcycle accident claimed the life of its rider and shut down an intersection on Sunday night, according to the Florida Highway Patrol (FHP).
The crash occurred at approximately 7:30 PM at the intersection of Apalachee Parkway and Conor Blvd.
FHP reported both the motorcycle and car drivers were men from Tallahassee. The motorcyclist was transported to Tallahassee Memorial Hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
The driver of the car, who had no passengers, was reported to be uninjured.
Authorities are diverting traffic away from Conor Blvd. Traffic cameras captured officers rerouting vehicles on Apalachee Parkway.
FHP has not provided an estimated timeline for reopening the intersection but advises motorists to seek alternative routes as the investigation continues.
