Delaware County man dies in motorcycle collision with semi on Ind. 28.

MUNCIE, IN — A 35-year-old man died Monday evening in a motorcycle crash on Indiana 28 in Delaware County.

The incident occurred around 9:38 p.m. east of Interstate 69, involving a motorcycle and a semi-truck.

Authorities identified the victim as Brennan Lee Rhoades, of rural Selma. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

According to Chief Deputy Jeff Stanley of the Delaware County Sheriff’s Department, the semi was traveling east when it turned north into the Petro Travel Center and entered the path of Rhoades’ westbound motorcycle.

The semi driver, a North Carolina woman, is cooperating with the investigation.

A third vehicle traveling eastbound on Indiana 28 reported possible contact with debris from the crash.

Investigators from the sheriff’s crash reconstruction team are examining the scene. Responding agencies included the Delaware County Sheriff’s Department, Daleville Police, Gaston Fire Department, and the Delaware County Emergency Management Agency.
