SELBYVILLE, DE – A motorcycle crash claimed the life of a 56-year-old man early Wednesday morning, May 20, 2026, on Lighthouse Road.
At approximately 1:20 a.m., the Harley-Davidson Road King was traveling eastbound near Fenwick Shoals Boulevard when it failed to navigate a slight left curve, running off the road and striking a safety barrier. The operator, a Frankford resident, was not wearing a helmet and was pronounced dead at the scene, according to authorities.
The roadway was closed for approximately four hours as the Delaware State Police conducted an initial investigation. The Collision Reconstruction Unit is handling the ongoing investigation.
