Sturgis, SD – Multiple Injuries Reported in Highway Accident Saturday Evening
A multi-vehicle accident occurred on Highway 34 near Sturgis, SD, on Saturday, October 7, 2023, around 5:15 p.m.
According to the South Dakota Department of Public Safety, the crash involved four vehicles and resulted in multiple injuries. Emergency responders, including the Sturgis Fire Department and local ambulance services, arrived on the scene to provide medical aid.
Authorities confirmed that two individuals were transported to a nearby hospital, while the severity of their injuries remains unknown.
Due to the accident, eastbound lanes of Highway 34 were closed for approximately two hours while emergency crews conducted an investigation and cleared the wreckage. The South Dakota Highway Patrol is investigating the cause of the collision.
