A dirt bike rider was hospitalized following a collision with an SUV in Dorr Township Friday night.
The incident occurred shortly after 6 p.m. at the intersection of 14th Street and 144th Avenue, according to the Allegan County Sheriff’s Office.
Authorities said the dirt bike, traveling south on 14th Street, failed to stop at a posted stop sign before being struck by a westbound SUV. The two occupants of the SUV were uninjured.
Emergency responders closed the intersection while the Allegan County Sheriff’s Office Crash Reconstruction Team conducted an investigation. The intersection reopened shortly before 9:30 p.m. The investigation into the crash is ongoing.
