FATAL PEDESTRIAN CRASH IN WEST FARGO IDENTIFIED
WEST FARGO — A pedestrian was killed early Wednesday morning in a crash involving a vehicle on 32nd Avenue South, according to the North Dakota Highway Patrol.
At approximately 2:46 a.m., 38-year-old Jose Rodriguez of West Fargo was crossing 32nd Avenue South when he was struck by a 2016 Ford Fusion driven by 25-year-old Carly Vizenor, also of West Fargo. The incident occurred 20 to 30 yards east of the Ninth Street intersection, near The Lights complex.
Authorities reported that Vizenor left the scene but returned about 10 minutes later. Rodriguez was pronounced dead at the scene, while Vizenor sustained no injuries.
The North Dakota Highway Patrol is actively investigating the crash, and potential charges against Vizenor are also being considered.
