GILFORD, NH— Anthony J. Summers, 32, appeared in Belknap Superior Court on Oct. 3 as he faces seven felony charges stemming from a fatal motorcycle crash on Lake Shore Road on Sept. 20.
Summers is charged with three counts of negligent homicide while allegedly under the influence, three counts of negligent homicide, and one count of falsifying evidence after refusing a blood draw. He is accused of crossing the center line and striking two motorcycles, resulting in the deaths of three individuals.
Scott Blomerth, 52, and his wife, Robyn, 53, both of Alton, were killed at the scene. The second motorcyclist, Timothy “TJ” Sullivan, 43, succumbed to his injuries on Oct. 5 after being hospitalized.
Authorities reported that Summers’s vehicle, a 2025 Ford Bronco, was well over the line at the time of the collision. He allegedly admitted to officers that he had taken his focus away from the road. A blood alcohol content of 0.027 was recorded six hours post-collision following a warrant for a blood draw.
During the brief hearing, Judge Elizabeth Leonard allowed a request for Summers to attend church services while on house arrest, which began after he was granted bail. The next dispositional conference is scheduled for 8:30 a.m. on May 22. County Attorney Keith Cormier requested additional time to gather evidence for the upcoming discussions.
