A 65-year-old Connecticut man died in a motorcycle crash in Canaan, NY, on Sunday afternoon, according to authorities.
New York State Police responded to the two-vehicle collision at approximately 2:50 p.m. on State Route 22. The crash involved a 2014 Harley-Davidson motorcycle and a 2024 Porsche, which failed to yield the right of way while attempting a left turn.
Michael J. Landry of Ellington was ejected from his motorcycle and subsequently airlifted to a hospital, where he was pronounced dead. The driver of the Porsche, an 85-year-old man from New York, suffered non-life-threatening injuries and was also hospitalized.
An investigation is ongoing.
