Ewa Beach crash victim identified as motorcyclist.

EWA BEACH, Hawaii (Local News Wire) – A motorcyclist died following a collision Saturday evening in Ewa Beach.

According to the Honolulu Police Department, 30-year-old Robin Yamaguchi was riding south on Kehue Street when he crashed into a Scion at the intersection of Laupapa Street around 5:40 p.m.

Yamaguchi, who was not wearing a helmet, was transported to a hospital in critical condition and later pronounced dead.

The three occupants of the Scion, including a 50-year-old driver, reported no injuries and remained at the scene.

Authorities noted that speed appeared to be a factor in the crash, although it remains unclear if drugs or alcohol contributed.

This incident marks the second traffic fatality of the year, and the investigation is ongoing.
