Traffic Accident Claims Life on Highway 90
A two-vehicle accident on Highway 90 in St. James Parish resulted in one fatality on October 10, 2023, around 2:41 p.m.
According to the Louisiana State Police, a pickup truck collided with a motorcycle while traveling westbound. The 33-year-old motorcyclist suffered critical injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene. The identity of the motorcyclist has not been released pending notification of next of kin.
Emergency responders included the Louisiana State Police and local medical personnel. Authorities reported that both vehicles were towed from the scene, and the westbound lanes of Highway 90 were closed for approximately three hours during the investigation.
The Louisiana State Police is actively investigating the circumstances of the accident. No other injuries were reported.
