Fallen Deputy to Be Honored in Procession Returning to Fallon.

A procession for Deputy Tristan Redmond, who died from injuries sustained in an off-duty motorcycle crash, will take place this morning.

The event is scheduled to begin at 10 a.m. as a convoy of 20 to 30 vehicles departs from Renown Regional Medical Center, heading east toward Fallon. The Nevada Highway Patrol (NHP) is coordinating with the Churchill County Sheriff’s Office (CCSO) for the procession.

Motorists wishing to pay their respects can gather at the Derby Dam overpass on Interstate 80. The procession will exit Interstate 80 at the second Fernley exit, merging onto U.S. Highway 50 for the remainder of the journey to Fallon.

According to the CCSO, the procession will continue east on Highway 50/Williams Avenue to Smith’s Funeral Home.

Deputy Redmond, a CCSO member for four years, was initially hospitalized with life-threatening injuries after the motorcycle crash. He passed away on Tuesday, surrounded by his family.
