FARGO, N.D. (Local News Wire) – A four-vehicle crash at Main Avenue and South University Drive resulted in the death of a motorcyclist on July 30 at 3:21 p.m.
Authorities identified the motorcyclist as Ronald Huebner, 60, from Mahnomen, Minnesota. He was riding a 2007 Harley-Davidson westbound when he allegedly ran a red light.
His motorcycle collided with a 2023 Subaru Ascent driven by Kirsten Barton, 53, of Fargo. Huebner was thrown from his motorcycle and subsequently struck by a 2023 Ford F-150. His bike then hit a 2006 Ford Fusion, which was stationary behind the pickup.
Huebner was taken to Sanford Medical Center, where he died from his injuries; he was wearing a helmet at the time. No other drivers or passengers reported injuries.
All involved wore seat belts. The Ford F-150 was driven by Dylan Kangas, 23, and the Ford Fusion by Sarah Delgado, 20, both of Fargo.
Wet road conditions, caused by light rain, were reported at the time. Emergency response included the Fargo Police Department, Fargo Fire Department, and Sanford Ambulance.
The incident remains under investigation by the North Dakota Highway Patrol.
