Fatal Collision on Highway 60 West of Wabasha Claims Lives.

WABASHA COUNTY, Minn. – A fatal crash involving a pickup truck and a motorcycle closed Highway 60 for several hours Friday afternoon.

The collision occurred just after 2 p.m. near the intersection with County Road 13. According to the Minnesota State Patrol, a westbound 2014 Harley-Davidson motorcycle, operated by a 43-year-old man from Arcadia, Wisconsin, lost control and collided with an eastbound 2011 Ford F250 driven by a 65-year-old man from Theilman.

The identities and conditions of the drivers and a passenger, a 61-year-old woman from Theilman, have not been disclosed. Authorities have confirmed the incident resulted in fatalities.

Emergency responders, including the Wabasha County Sheriff’s Office, Wabasha Police Department, and Lake City Fire and Ambulance, assisted at the scene.

Minnesota Department of Transportation officials reported both lanes of Highway 60 were closed between County Road 13 and T-63, with an anticipated reopening by 5 p.m. The investigation into the crash is ongoing.
