SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (Dakota News Now) – One person is dead following a single-vehicle crash in Charles Mix County on Saturday night.
The incident occurred at 11:22 p.m. on SD Highway 1804, approximately 10 miles southwest of Platte.
Authorities said a 2023 GMC Sierra was traveling south when it left the roadway, entered the ditch, struck an approach, and became airborne, ultimately flipping onto its roof.
The driver, a 21-year-old man from Belle Fourche, was pronounced dead at the scene.
The South Dakota Highway Patrol is handling the ongoing investigation into the crash.
