Fatal Crashes in Nevada Surge Over Four-Month Period.

NEVADA – The Office of Traffic Safety reported 128 fatal crashes in Nevada from January 1 to April 30, 2025, a 7.56% increase from 2024.

Clark County recorded 94 fatal crashes, a decrease of 2.08% from 2024, while Washoe County had 16, marking a 77.78% increase.

Lyon County reported four fatal crashes, up 33.3% from the previous year, and Carson City had one, down 50%.

Both Nye and Elko counties had one fatal crash each, down 66.67% from 2024, while Douglas County remained unchanged with one fatal crash.

Churchill County saw one fatal crash, a 100% increase from zero in 2024. Humboldt County recorded two, consistent with last year.

White Pine and Pershing counties experienced significant increases, with two and three fatal crashes respectively, both rising from no fatalities in 2024.

Mineral and Eureka counties each reported one fatal crash, both 100% increases from 2024 when neither had any fatalities.

Lander, Lincoln, Storey, and Esmeralda counties reported no fatal crashes during the reporting period in either year.
