A 22-year-old man from Fitchburg was killed in a motorcycle crash on Greenville Road in Ashby, Massachusetts, on Thursday evening.
According to the Ashby Police Department, authorities received the call around 5:57 p.m. The motorcyclist was transported to Leominster Hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
Initial investigations indicate the victim was traveling southbound on Greenville Road when he lost control of the motorcycle while navigating a curve, skidding off the roadway. No other injuries were reported.
The Ashby Police Department, alongside the Massachusetts State Police Collision Analysis and Reconstruction Section (CARS) Unit, is leading the investigation. Lane closures were implemented during the response, but the road has since reopened.
