Fatal motorcycle crash claims one life.

GALLIPOLIS, Ohio — A two-vehicle crash involving a motorcycle resulted in one death Monday evening in Gallia County.

According to the Ohio State Highway Patrol, 32-year-old Kruz White of Gallipolis died in the crash, which occurred around 7:00 p.m. on Georges Creek Road near Johnsons Ridge Road.

Authorities reported that White was riding westbound when he left his lane and collided with a Jeep driven by 33-year-old Zachary Gillies, also of Gallipolis, who had been backing out of his driveway.

Gillies did not sustain injuries. The roadway was closed for approximately two hours following the incident.

Emergency response included the Gallia County Sheriff’s Office, Gallia County EMS, Stapletons Towing, Willis Funeral Home, and the Gallipolis Fire Department.

An investigation into the crash is ongoing.
