CHEVY CHASE, MD — A fatal motorcycle crash closed Connecticut Avenue for several hours early Tuesday morning.
Montgomery County Police responded to the collision involving a motorcycle and a car at the intersection of Manor Road and Connecticut Avenue at approximately 6:15 a.m.
According to police, the motorcyclist, whose identity has not yet been released, was found in serious condition and was pronounced dead at the scene. The female driver of the car was hospitalized with minor injuries.
Authorities closed Connecticut Avenue in both directions between Jones Bridge Road and Manor Road as they conducted an investigation. WTOP’s Traffic Center reported that the roadway fully reopened by 10:50 a.m.
This incident marks another in a series of deadly motorcycle collisions across Maryland, including a recent hit-and-run in Charles County on Saturday that left one individual dead.
