BOONE COUNTY, Ark. — A 24-year-old motorcyclist was killed in a collision on State Highway 7 on June 17, authorities reported.
According to the Arkansas Department of Public Safety, the incident occurred around 6:54 p.m. when Dalton Stanford, of Harrison, was riding a 2004 Harley-Davidson northbound.
Witnesses reported that Stanford crossed the center line while navigating a curve and collided with a 2026 Chevrolet driven by 71-year-old Peggy Barnes of Lead Hill.
The crash summary indicated that Stanford’s next of kin has been notified. Stanford was pronounced dead at the scene.
Barnes sustained injuries and was transported to North Arkansas Regional Medical Center for treatment, authorities said.
The incident remains under investigation by the Arkansas State Police.
