Motorcycle Accident Claims Life in Southern Idaho
A motorcycle accident on Highway 30 near Twin Falls resulted in one fatality on Friday, May 15, at 5:25 p.m.
The incident involved a pickup truck and a motorcycle. According to the Idaho State Police, a 39-year-old male from Twin Falls was riding a 2013 Harley-Davidson westbound on Highway 30 when a 49-year-old male from Twin Falls, driving a 2017 Nissan Frontier, attempted to cross the highway from E 2600 N. The motorcycle collided with the Nissan’s side. The motorcycle rider succumbed to injuries at a local hospital, while the pickup driver was medically cleared and taken into custody.
Lane closures were implemented during the investigation, which remains ongoing.
Authorities did not release additional details about the circumstances leading up to the crash. Road conditions and visibility were not confirmed as contributing factors.
