A Wasilla woman was killed and a man seriously injured following a collision between a motorcycle and a vehicle on KGB Road Tuesday morning.
At approximately 11:18 a.m. on October 10, Alaska State Troopers responded to a report of a crash involving a Kawasaki motorcycle and a 2010 Jeep at mile seven of KGB Road near Commodore Road.
Troopers found 32-year-old Jayme Donoho, a passenger on the motorcycle, deceased at the scene. The motorcycle’s driver, 35-year-old Brandon Haxton, sustained serious injuries and was medevaced for treatment.
According to the preliminary investigation, Haxton and Donoho were traveling outbound on KGB Road when the Jeep, operated by 52-year-old Sepasetiano Laumatia, pulled out from Commodore Road directly in front of them. The motorcycle collided with the Jeep’s driver-side front quarter panel, ejecting both riders.
Laumatia and his passenger were taken to a local hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
Next of kin have been notified regarding Donoho’s death. The investigation into the incident is ongoing, and details regarding lane closures or vehicle tows were not specified.
