FESTUS, MO – A 21-year-old man was seriously injured in a motorcycle accident on eastbound Plattin Road on Tuesday at 8:45 p.m.
According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, the man was riding a Suzuki motorcycle when he veered off the right side of the road, struck an embankment, and collided with a tree, causing the motorcycle to overturn and ejecting him.
Emergency responders transported the rider to Mercy Hospital South. He was wearing a helmet at the time of the incident.
The accident is under investigation by the Missouri State Highway Patrol. No additional information about the road conditions or witnesses has been reported.
