FAYETTEVILLE, N.C. (WTVD) — A collision involving multiple vehicles and a motorcycle resulted in the death of a Fort Bragg soldier on Friday afternoon.
The incident occurred around 12:41 p.m. on Yadkin Road near Cimarron Drive, shutting down all lanes for several hours.
Authorities report that 20-year-old Aaron Isaiah Aguero was riding his motorcycle northbound on Yadkin Road. While attempting to pass vehicles in the center turn lane, he collided with a Ford truck making a left turn onto Cimarron Drive.
Officials stated Aguero swerved into oncoming traffic, hitting the truck’s left rear. The impact ejected him from the motorcycle, and he was subsequently struck by a third vehicle traveling south on Yadkin Road.
Aguero was pronounced dead at the scene. Emergency response teams were deployed, and an investigation into the crash is ongoing.
No additional injuries have been reported. All lanes have since been reopened.
