Four Killed in Three-Vehicle Crash in Princeton Township
Four individuals died in a three-vehicle crash on Highway 95 in Princeton Township around 2:41 p.m. on Monday, according to the Minnesota State Patrol.
An 80-year-old woman driving a Honda SUV westbound crossed the center line and collided head-on with a Volkswagen sedan traveling eastbound. A tire from the crash subsequently struck a Nissan sedan following the Volkswagen.
The Volkswagen contained four occupants, including two teenagers, while both the Nissan and Honda had one occupant each. Authorities have not yet identified the deceased, pending family notifications. Further details will be released by the patrol on Tuesday afternoon.
Emergency services responded promptly to the scene. A prayer vigil for the victims is scheduled at New Life Church in Princeton on Tuesday from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m., as three of the deceased were church members, according to Pastor Corey Kalinowski.
Local residents have expressed concerns about the dangers of Highway 95, where the speed limit occasionally fluctuates between 45 mph and 60 mph. The Minnesota State Patrol noted that five fatal crashes have occurred on this road in the past year, highlighting ongoing safety issues in the area.
The crash remains under investigation, with lane closures reported while authorities managed the aftermath.
