Four Fatal Motorcycle Crashes Reported in Minnesota Between Sunday and Tuesday
The most recent crash occurred on Tuesday afternoon in Scott County. Authorities identified the victim as 71-year-old Donald Dale Sibbet.
According to a news release from the Scott County Sheriff’s Office, Sibbet’s motorcycle left the roadway while navigating a curve, subsequently striking an embankment and driveway. He was pronounced dead at the scene, and impairment from drugs or alcohol was not a factor.
26-Year-Old Man Dies in Rochester Motorcycle-SUV Crash
On Tuesday morning, a collision at an interchange along Hwy. 63 resulted in the death of 26-year-old Damon Saponari from Rochester.
Rochester Police reported that Saponari was pronounced dead at the scene after colliding with an SUV at the intersection of 40th Street Southeast and Woodlake Drive. The SUV driver was not injured, and the investigation is ongoing.
17-Year-Old Motorcyclist Killed in Central Minnesota
A 17-year-old boy died Monday evening in Benton County after his motorcycle collided with a silage trailer being pulled by a tractor while attempting to pass.
Hastings Man Dies in Motorcycle Crash at Hwy. 61 Interchange
On Sunday, 28-year-old Jeremiah Thomas Miller Hurley died in a crash with an SUV at the Hwy. 61 and Hwy. 95 interchange in Hastings. He was pronounced dead on-site, while the SUV driver was uninjured.
