A motorcycle operator was struck by a white SUV that fled the scene on Plank Road in Fredericksburg on October 15, 2023, at 2:41 p.m.
The 38-year-old Spotsylvania man sustained serious injuries that are not life-threatening and was transported to a local hospital, according to the Fredericksburg Police Department. Following the incident, an officer located the white SUV in the 700 block of Caroline Street.
Authorities reported that as the officer approached, the driver discarded a broken driver’s-side mirror onto the street. The investigation is ongoing, and no arrests have been made at this time. No road closures were reported.
