Memorial Scheduled for Broncos’ Superfan Gabe Vigil Following Fatal Motorcycle Crash
Thornton, CO – A memorial service is set for Saturday, January 3, to honor Gabe Vigil, who died in a motorcycle crash on December 23. He was 45 years old.
According to authorities, the crash occurred in Thornton, resulting in multiple injuries, though specific details about other parties were not disclosed. Emergency responders from local agencies attended the scene, and the roadway was temporarily closed for investigation and to facilitate medical aid.
Gabe Vigil was a lifelong Denver Broncos fan, known for his vibrant personality and signature hair. “He was always the life of the party,” said his wife, Cyndi Vigil. Vigil was affectionately called “Broncos Warrior” or “Bronco Gabe” and was renowned for his elaborate Broncos gear.
A vigil held shortly after his passing drew friends, family, and community members dressed in Broncos colors to pay tribute to Vigil’s passion for the team and his dedication to family. His daughter, Lovena Vigil, expressed gratitude for the community’s support, stating, “It’s amazing to see a community come together for somebody they knew and loved.”
The benefit memorial event will be held at Backyard Sports Lounge from 3 to 7 p.m. on January 3, where attendees can celebrate Vigil’s life and legacy.
