A 36-year-old Fulton man was airlifted with serious injuries following a motorcycle crash in Audrain County on Tuesday afternoon.
The incident occurred at approximately 2:12 p.m. on U.S. 54, west of County Road 541 in Farber, according to the Missouri State Highway Patrol. The man was traveling eastbound when he lost control while navigating a curve, causing his Honda motorcycle to run off the shoulder.
Authorities reported the motorcycle overturned and skidded on its side, resulting in the rider being thrown off. He was wearing a helmet at the time of the crash.
Emergency responders airlifted him to University Hospital in Columbia for treatment. The motorcycle sustained significant damage and was subsequently considered a total loss.
The investigation into the incident is ongoing.
