Preble County Motorcycle Crash Claims Life on Independence Day
PREBLE COUNTY — A motorcycle crash in Preble County on July 4 has resulted in the death of a man.
The incident occurred on State Route 726 in Washington Township at approximately 4:16 p.m., according to the Ohio State Highway Patrol.
Preliminary investigations indicate that a 2003 Honda Silverwing motorcycle was traveling north on SR 726 when it lost control, veering off the right side of the roadway. The motorcycle struck a ditch and a utility pole.
The motorcyclist, identified as 39-year-old Douglas Miller of Gettysburg, was transported to Reid Health in Richmond, where he succumbed to his injuries hours later.
The crash is still under investigation, and further details have not been released.
