Harrisburg Man Dies in Motorcycle Crash South of Watertown
WATERTOWN, S.D. — A 17-year-old Harrisburg man died on November 7 from injuries sustained in a motorcycle crash on November 5, two miles south of Watertown.
Authorities said the individual was riding a 2012 Harley Davidson northbound on 29th Street SE when he lost control approaching the intersection with Meadow Lake Road. He was ejected from the motorcycle.
Emergency responders transported the driver to Prairie Lakes Hospital with life-threatening injuries, and he was later transferred to a hospital in Sioux Falls, where he succumbed to his injuries. The victim’s name is being withheld pending family notification.
The South Dakota Highway Patrol is investigating the incident. Preliminary details are subject to change as the investigation continues.
