HARRISBURG, SD – A Harrisburg man died in a motorcycle accident on Thursday night near Watertown, according to authorities.
The crash occurred around 9:30 p.m. on Highway 81, where the motorcycle struck a pickup truck traveling in the opposite direction. The 28-year-old motorcyclist sustained fatal injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene. The driver of the pickup was uninjured.
Emergency responders, including the South Dakota Highway Patrol and local law enforcement, arrived promptly to manage the scene. Both vehicles were towed following the accident, and lane closures were implemented to facilitate the investigation.
