Harrison Man Killed in Fiery Crash on Highway 7 North in Boone County
A head-on collision on Arkansas State Highway 7 North in Boone County resulted in the death of a Harrison man and injuries to a Lead Hill woman on Wednesday evening.
Authorities identified the deceased as 24-year-old Dalton Ray Stanford. Seventy-one-year-old Peggy Jean Baines was transported to a hospital for treatment of her injuries. The accident occurred at approximately 6:54 p.m. near Kirk Mountain.
According to the preliminary report from the Arkansas State Police, Stanford was operating a motorcycle when he crossed the centerline while navigating a curve, colliding with Baines’ vehicle.
Firefighters from the Bergman Volunteer Fire Department reported both vehicles were fully engulfed in flames upon their arrival.
The Arkansas State Police are investigating the incident. No further details on lane closures or additional road conditions have been provided at this time.
