A three-vehicle crash on U.S. 63 in Osage County Saturday afternoon left one man dead and two others injured, according to the Missouri State Highway Patrol.
The incident occurred around 1:50 p.m. at the intersection of U.S. 63 and County Road 512. A northbound 2016 Chevrolet Silverado, driven by a 54-year-old man from Boonville, crossed the center line and struck a southbound 2017 Harley-Davidson head-on.
The motorcycle’s 61-year-old driver and his 50-year-old passenger, both from Hartsburg, were ejected as the motorcycle overturned. The driver was pronounced dead at the scene, while the passenger suffered serious injuries and was flown to University Hospital. A helicopter was dispatched for medical aid.
Further debris from the crash struck a second southbound Harley-Davidson, operated by a 64-year-old man from Jefferson City, who sustained moderate injuries and was taken to University Hospital by ambulance.
Authorities said the Silverado driver was not reported injured. Troop F confirmed this incident marks their fourth traffic fatality in August and the 40th of 2026.
Road conditions were temporarily impacted; U.S. 63 was blocked during the emergency response, but the roadway reopened around 9:15 p.m. Investigations into the crash are ongoing.
