RUMNEY, NH — Two people are dead and another is seriously injured following a head-on collision on Route 25 on Friday afternoon.
The Rumney Fire Department responded to the scene shortly after 1:30 p.m., aided by Plymouth Fire Rescue and Wentworth Fire Department. Emergency crews found two vehicles involved in the crash with signs of severe damage.
The driver of one vehicle was transported to a local hospital with serious injuries. The driver and a passenger in the other vehicle were pronounced dead at the scene, according to authorities. Victims’ identities have not yet been released.
Route 25 remained closed for approximately five hours to facilitate an on-scene investigation and cleanup, fire officials reported. The cause of the crash is still under investigation by the Rumney Police Department.
