WEST FARGO, N.D. (KFGO) – Two individuals were hospitalized Wednesday afternoon after a motorcycle collided with another vehicle at the intersection of 17th Street East and Main Avenue East.
According to the West Fargo Police Department, the crash occurred at approximately 2:50 p.m. Police determined that a motorcycle rear-ended another vehicle. Witnesses reported the motorcycle was traveling at a high rate of speed and being driven recklessly before the impact.
Two people were on the motorcycle at the time of the collision, neither wearing a helmet, authorities said. The passenger sustained life-threatening injuries, while the driver suffered significant, non-life-threatening injuries. Both victims received medical attention on-site before being transported for further treatment.
Emergency response included the West Fargo Fire Department, Sanford Ambulance, and the North Dakota Highway Patrol, who assisted with the initial response.
As of now, authorities have not released the names or ages of the injured individuals. The incident is under active investigation by the North Dakota Highway Patrol.
