Hope Man Suffers Serious Injuries in Motorcycle Crash
CASS COUNTY, N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – A 38-year-old man from Hope sustained serious injuries in a motorcycle crash on August 11 at 8:28 p.m.
According to the North Dakota State Patrol, the incident began during an attempted traffic stop on a 2002 Yamaha motorcycle for speeding on Interstate 94. The driver fled westbound, exited at 343, and continued northbound on Cass County Road 11. While traveling in the 16000 block of 33rd Street Southeast, the driver lost control, rolled into the south ditch, and was thrown from the motorcycle.
The man, who was not wearing a helmet, was transported to Sanford Hospital in Fargo by Sanford AirMed. His condition has not yet been disclosed. DUI charges are pending.
Emergency response included the North Dakota State Patrol, Cass County Sheriff’s Office, Casselton Fire Department, and Casselton Ambulance.
The crash is under investigation.
