A motorcyclist died Saturday afternoon after crashing into a guardrail on a Jefferson County interstate ramp, blocking all lanes.
LOUISVILLE, Ky. — The incident occurred at 3:00 p.m. on the I-64 West ramp to I-264 East. According to MetroSafe, Louisville Metro Police responded to reports of the crash.
Authorities said the motorcyclist struck the guardrail, with speeding identified as a contributing factor. The rider, who was wearing a helmet, was pronounced dead at the scene.
LMPD’s Traffic Unit is conducting the investigation.
TRIMARC estimates the ramp will remain closed for approximately two hours.
