A teenager sustained life-threatening injuries in a serious crash on I-94 in Woodbury on Wednesday afternoon.
WOODBURY, Minn. — The eastbound lanes of I-94 were closed during rush hour as emergency crews responded to a four-vehicle crash involving a motorcycle. The incident occurred when traffic halted at Woodbury Drive, prompting both a Hyundai Palisade and a motorcyclist to veer left to avoid a collision.
According to the Minnesota State Patrol, the drivers of a Kia and a Toyota then collided while attempting to avoid the motorcycle. The only reported injury involved the motorcyclist, a 16-year-old boy from Pierce, Wisconsin, whose injuries are classified as life-threatening.
Authorities have not disclosed further details about the other vehicles involved. The Minnesota State Patrol is currently investigating the incident. Tow trucks were on the scene to remove the vehicles, and lane closures remained in effect for the duration of the response.
