NEW HAVEN — A motorcycle crash on Interstate 95 south near Exit 43 late Thursday afternoon resulted in serious injuries and traffic delays, authorities said.
The incident occurred around 5 p.m., prompting the closure of the southbound lanes for emergency response. Connecticut State Police confirmed that multiple injuries were reported.
As of 6:10 p.m., the road remained closed while emergency personnel attended to the scene, causing significant traffic congestion. Authorities advised motorists to avoid the area.
The highway reopened by early evening, and an investigation into the crash is ongoing. No fatalities have been reported.
