Motorcycle Accident Claims Life of Olathe Man in South Dakota
DEADWOOD, SD — Brett Michael Bacon, 38, was found unresponsive beside his motorcycle early on August 2, 2025, just outside Deadwood.
According to authorities, Bacon’s motorcycle was located off a rural county road in Lawrence County. An off-duty LAWRENCE COUNTY SHERIFF discovered him around sunrise. Emergency medical services responded, but Bacon was pronounced dead at the scene.
Bacon, a resident of Olathe, Kansas, was a husband and father of five. He co-founded LFS Wealth Advisors and was remembered as a devoted family man and community volunteer. Witnesses reported that he was well-respected in both his professional and personal circles.
