ROCKY HILL, Conn. (WFSB) – A fatal motorcycle crash on Silas Deane Highway is causing significant delays Sunday evening.
At approximately 3:50 p.m. on Sunday, Rocky Hill Police received reports of a collision between a motorcycle and a car near 1489 Silas Deane Highway.
Authorities said the motorcyclist was pronounced dead at the scene. The driver of the car sustained minor injuries.
Rocky Hill Police, the Rocky Hill Fire Department, and EMS personnel responded promptly. An accident reconstruction team is currently investigating the scene.
The highway is expected to remain closed for several hours, with motorists advised to seek alternate routes.
