GRANT COUNTY, Wis. (KCRG) – Two individuals sustained severe injuries after a motorcycle crash involving a deer on Highway 133.
According to the Grant County Sheriff’s Office, deputies responded to the incident at 3:43 p.m. on Friday in Waterloo Township.
A man and woman from Eldridge were traveling south when their Harley-Davidson struck a deer, causing the motorcycle to overturn and slide approximately 75 yards.
Neither rider was wearing helmets and both were ejected from the motorcycle during the crash.
Emergency Medical Services provided initial medical assistance at the scene before airlifting the injured individuals to UW-Madison Hospital.
Authorities are investigating the incident; no further information regarding lane closures or tows has been released at this time.
