Jamie Davenport Killed in Jackson County Accident on Highway 62
Jackson County, Oregon (September 8, 2023) – Jamie Davenport, 38, of Shady Cove, was killed in a motorcycle collision Wednesday Morning in Jackson County.
According to the Oregon State Police, the crash happened at around 7:33 a.m. on Highway 62 near milepost 7.
Davenport was riding a Yamaha motorcycle heading south while at the same time, Vickie Kuras, 65, of Medford, was driving a Toyota Highlander northbound through a green light.
Davenport made a left turn onto Avenue H in front of the Toyota, causing the collision.
OSP says Davenport sustained severe injuries in the crash and was rushed to a nearby hospital.
Davenport later succumbed to his injuries.
Kuras was suffered no injuries in the accident.
No other information regarding the accident was provided.
The accident remains under investigation.
