LITTLE ROCK (KATV) — A motorcycle accident in Pulaski County claimed the life of Jefferson County Deputy Justin Tomlinson early Saturday morning.
According to the Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office, Deputy Tomlinson sustained serious injuries in the off-duty incident. The Arkansas State Police-Troop A is investigating the collision; further details are not yet available.
Deputy Tomlinson, who was 36 years old, served in the Sheriff’s Office Services Division, focusing on transportation and court security duties.
“The absence of Deputy Tomlinson will be profoundly felt within our community,” a spokesperson from the sheriff’s office stated. The office emphasized the importance of supporting Tomlinson’s family during this tragic time and urged the community to keep them in their thoughts and prayers.
