Motorcycle Crash on South Range Line Road Claims Life of 21-Year-Old Man
JOPLIN, Mo. (KOAM/KJFX) — A motorcycle crash on South Range Line Road late Wednesday night resulted in the death of a 21-year-old man.
The incident occurred around 9:45 p.m. on August 26, 2026, in the 3300 block of South Range Line Road, according to authorities. A pickup truck exiting a nearby restaurant was struck by a northbound motorcycle.
Witnesses reported the motorcycle was traveling at a high rate of speed. The rider sustained serious injuries and was transported to a local hospital, where he later died. The Newton County Coroner’s Office confirmed the victim as Benjamin Hedrick.
No occupants in the pickup truck were injured. The Joplin Police Major Crash Team is investigating the accident, and northbound traffic was blocked at 32nd Street shortly after the collision.
