Juvenile critically injured in hit-and-run accident in Council Bluffs
COUNCIL BLUFFS, Iowa — A hit-and-run accident involving a truck and a motorcycle left a juvenile critically injured on Saturday night.
At approximately 7 p.m., Council Bluffs Police were dispatched to the 1200 block of North Broadway. Authorities reported that a truck rear-ended a motorcycle operated by a juvenile, who suffered critical injuries and was transported to Nebraska Medical Center.
The truck driver fled the scene but was located shortly afterward. Police indicated that alcohol is believed to be a contributing factor in the collision. The investigation is ongoing, according to the Council Bluffs Police Department.
