CORAL SPRINGS, FL — A juvenile male riding an electric motorcycle was hospitalized following a collision with another vehicle on Tuesday, June 16, at 2:24 p.m. in the 2000 block of N. University Drive.
According to police, the rider sustained minor injuries and was transported to a hospital as a precaution. Traffic flow was restored shortly after law enforcement arrived on the scene.
Authorities indicated that crashes involving e-bikes and e-motorcycles, particularly among teens and young adults, have been increasing, with responders attending up to three incidents per day.
Previous incidents have resulted in serious injuries and fatalities. City officials are urging parents and e-bike riders to stay informed about the risks associated with these devices and to prioritize safety.
