LEE’S SUMMIT, Mo. – A 34-year-old Kansas City man is dead following a motorcycle accident in Lee’s Summit on October 10.
According to the Lee’s Summit Police Department, first responders were dispatched at 6:05 p.m. to Northwest Interstate 470 eastbound exit ramp and Pryor Road for a two-vehicle collision.
The investigation revealed that Edward M. Strickland was riding an eastbound motorcycle when he collided with the rear of a truck traveling in the same direction. Strickland was transported to a local trauma center, where he was pronounced dead.
The truck driver was evaluated on the scene but declined to be taken to a medical facility. The Lee’s Summit Police Department is conducting an ongoing investigation into the incident.
