Wichita Motorcycle Crash Claims Life, Driver Arrested
WICHITA, KS — A fatal crash involving a motorcycle and a sedan occurred at West 42nd Street South and South Seneca on October 17 at approximately 7 p.m.
Police arrived to find a 27-year-old motorcyclist dead at the scene, according to a media release from authorities. The motorcyclist was traveling south on Seneca when he was struck by a sedan that was reportedly making a left turn onto 42nd Street.
The sedan’s driver, 61-year-old Brian Adrian, has been arrested on charges of Involuntary Manslaughter while under the influence of alcohol or drugs, authorities said. Alcohol is suspected as a contributing factor in the incident.
The Wichita Police Critical Accident Follow-Up Team was activated, and detectives responded to assist in the investigation. Adrian remains in custody with a bond set at $200,000. The case will be forwarded to the District Attorney’s office for potential formal charges.
