COWLEY COUNTY—One person died following a collision involving a motorcycle and a car just before 9 p.m. on Sunday in Cowley County.
According to Cowley County Undersheriff Christina McDonald, a 2000 Dodge Stratus, driven by Stephanie Thielen, 34, of Newkirk, Oklahoma, was crossing U.S. 77 Highway at 332nd Road while traveling southbound.
The Stratus struck a 2004 Harley-Davidson motorcycle operated by Shawn Calhoun, 37, of Arkansas City, Kansas. Calhoun was pronounced dead at the scene.
